Patent Pending Toolless Removal Caps
What makes our shift knobs special is our toolless cap design removal system. Our pending toolless cap removal using a magnet countersunk and machine-pressed into a lathed billet core with a beveled floor. Our utility patent covers any interchangeable cap design without the use of tools, among other elements. The design allows you to easily swap out the design on your shift knob by pressing down on the corner of the cap with your thumb (toolless). When the cap is pressed down on any outside edge, it drops into a beveled floor which pops the other side up. Once you have the magnetized cap up, simply remove it and exchange it with another cap design.
Aggressive yet Timeless. The classic “4R” icon shift knob cap features a white logo on a black background with TRD red stitching around the cap. The TrailMade shift knobs actually started because we printed this 4R logo on a set of shift knobs and had an overwhelming request for more. Well, here it is. The official Trail4Runner.com “4R” Icon. This cap comes with every transmission shift knob by default.
With the TrailMade ecosystem of shift knob cap designs, you can run any design you want, and change them on the fly. This design is the first of its kind and is built for the mod-driven 4Runner owner in all of us.
